What do you consider to be chat? Any interaction with LLMs? I run a variety of local models to compare their output but I only use them occasionally, and never via voice chat. Primarily used in workflows to compare criteria and to a lesser extent for code analysis or debug.

I chose 'not at all', but that isn't entirely true. Many companies have removed any other method to access customer service, so I am effectively forced into using their chatbots.
I would not call it 'chatting' because when I am 'chatting' with a human being, I am not trying to manipulate that person into providing a specific result.
"Chatting" with an LLM is like channeling your sleaziest inner lounge lizard to seduce someone at a bar.
Just got my #friendica server updated to run in docker after updating my server to use two different zpools on #voidlinux ! Here's a pic of our trip to #Iceland , what a lovely country, would love to go back!

@Friendica Support

Has anyone here attempted running Friendica in FrankenPHP or similar? Was curious if the extra effort was worth any noticeable performance improvement. Thanks!

"AI doesn’t need to outperform every employee to render an enterprise obsolete. It only needs to outperform the system."

Interesting take on this. Why worry about replacing individual workers in a bureaucratic process if you can just beat the overall company at a goal?

AI isn’t coming for your job—it’s coming for your company

Starting to get the itch to re-do my server, as this is the year Ubuntu 20.04 LTS loses support. Was thinking TrueNAS but wanted a little more freedom with lower ports. Now thinking about using #ZFSBootMenu on Alpine as a host for converting most everything to #docker :

docs.zfsbootmenu.org/en/v3.0.x…

Then make a few zpools for different benefits for my nextcloud docks and the other services I use...

Now not to get tempted with getting a refurb DL580 G9. 😅

The "Van Gogh" part of our landscape is springing up. We call it that because it reminds us of #vangogh and his work ”Irises" 😁

Thought I'd write an #introduction for all those #newhere from the Musk exodus:

I'm an analytical chemist. I've hosted my own #Friendica node (instance) at my home since 2018, shortly after the Cambridge Analytica scandal. From there, I got bit by the #selfhosting bug and am now hosting my own #opensource replacements for many FAANG services.

Welcome all to the #fediverse ! If you are thinking about self-hosting and have questions, would be happy to help as able!
